About the Company

Capi helps businesses in emerging markets pay their international suppliers quickly and efficiently. We’ve raised over $18m across Seed and Series A (Q4 2024) and are on a fast growth trajectory globally.

Capi was founded by Mitch Riley, Scott Liddle, and Tom Watson. Mitch and Scott were COO/CFO/GC and CRO/CMO at Taptap Send, a remittance unicorn, and have spent two decades between them working in emerging markets, and Tom is a career entrepreneur and founder.

Working in emerging markets is opening the door for us to have an economical impact on African markets by allowing businesses to pay suppliers and partners through our platform - we are currently live across Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Kenya, and Mali, with many more coming soon.

Our team is made up of approx 65 people across 9 countries; we are a group of a highly-ambitious, get-it-done people, who like to work hard on something that has a tangible impact in the world. And we’re looking for more people to join our team!

Role Overview

Partnerships & Launch expands the frontier of what’s possible for Capi. We grow the company’s addressable market by unlocking new countries, segments, and business lines. We secure strategic partnerships with banks and fintechs and turn them into live products and real revenue. We don’t just explore what’s next — we launch it.

As a Launcher, you’ll operationalize Capi’s expansion efforts. You’ll roll up your sleeves to figure out how things really work — from onboarding a new banking partner to setting up the first customer flows in a new country. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to unblock edge cases, document playbooks, and ensure every new launch is built to scale.

As a Launcher, you’ll be on the frontlines of market exploration and early execution. Your work will start with desktop scoping and extend to targeted in-market validation. You’ll dig into local regulatory and ecosystem dynamics, pressure-test demand with real customers, and tee up the partners needed to go live.

You’ll typically partner with the Head of Partnerships & Launch for major launches, but will also own smaller market entries end-to-end. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in messy environments, learns fast, and brings structure to ambiguity. You’ll spend time on the ground in-market, talk directly to users, and build resilient systems that serve real businesses.
