CSC Escrow & Settlements provides escrow and settlement services for transactions including M&A, real estate, and litigation. As a KYC Services Specialist, Escrow & Settlements, you will coordinate client onboarding and periodic reviews for escrow deals, partnering closely with clients and their (legal) advisors. You will collect and assess KYC/AML documentation, analyse ownership structures (including UBO), complete screenings (PEP/sanctions), and ensure approvals are in place prior to closing.
This role is well-suited to someone who combines strong stakeholder management with a detail-focused, compliance-minded approach in a fast-paced transactional environment in Amsterdam.

CSC Escrow & Settlements provides escrow and settlement services for transactions including M&A, real estate, and litigation. As a KYC Services Specialist, Escrow & Settlements, you will coordinate client onboarding and periodic reviews for escrow deals, partnering closely with clients and their (legal) advisors. You will collect and assess KYC/AML documentation, analyse ownership structures (including UBO), complete screenings (PEP/sanctions), and ensure approvals are in place prior to closing.
This role is well-suited to someone who combines strong stakeholder management with a detail-focused, compliance-minded approach in a fast-paced transactional environment in Amsterdam.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for KYC onboarding and periodic (annual) KYC reviews for escrow transactions, working directly with clients and their legal advisors
- Request, collect, validate, and document KYC information and supporting evidence in line with Wwft, sanctions requirements, and CSC policies
- Set up and maintain accurate client and deal records, including static data management in relevant systems and databases
- Review and analyse corporate structures and ownership chains to identify UBOs and complete client risk assessments
- Perform and assess compliance screenings, including PEP, sanctions, and adverse media checks, escalating findings where needed
- Coordinate onboarding timelines with the wider escrow and settlements team to support smooth deal execution and timely closings
- Review transaction documentation for completeness and correct execution in line with standard operating procedures
- Manage client queries and correspondence related to onboarding, KYC documentation, and straightforward transaction administration
- Identify process bottlenecks and propose improvements to strengthen efficiency, controls, and audit readiness across intake and handover to Operations
Required Qualifications
- Experience in KYC/AML and client onboarding
- Professional proficiency in English and Dutch
- Working knowledge of Dutch AML regulations, including Wwft, and the practical steps required for compliant client onboarding
- Ability to interpret company documentation and ownership information to support UBO identification and risk-based due diligence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging external stakeholders such as lawyers, notaries, and deal teams
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a transactional environment
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within a team and across functions
- Legal, compliance, or risk background (education or prior role)
- Experience performing PEP/sanctions screening and documenting outcomes in line with internal controls and audit expectations
- Exposure to escrow, settlements, or transaction services supporting M&A, real estate transactions, or litigation-related matters
- Familiarity with complex legal entity types and structures (e.g., STAK, trusts, private equity fund structures, charities) and documentation from multiple jurisdictions
