Position Description

The Junior D1 Trader will support management of the European and US Total Return Swap book. The role involves monitoring and analysing market conditions, inventory stability, and news flow to identify outperformance and trading opportunities. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of systematic transaction analysis tools and hedging/alpha strategies across EMEA and US markets, while overseeing automated trading programs during LN hours.

Key areas of Responsibilities

  • Managing the European and US TRS book. Hedging risks of the book in the European and US market opening time.
  • Analysing inventory stability and looking for outperformance opportunities;
  • Developing systematic tool of transaction analysis;
  • Developing the systematic hedging/alpha strategy on EMEA/US market;
  • Monitoring the automated trading program developed by EQD BJ team during LN hours;
  • Working with traders from other regions on the cross-region arbitrage.
  • Monitoring and analysing market conditions, news, and events to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Exploring and analysing diverse datasets to identify trading opportunities and market trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s preferred) holder in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Equity Derivatives, ideally with D1 trading exposure.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Coding skills are preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
  • Ability to think fast and critically, solve various problems arising from trading, risk and operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in a team.
