Junior Shooter & Video Editor

Your New Role: Junior Shooter & Video Editor

 

As Junior Shooter & Video Editor at Global, you’ll film and edit video content for Global and its radio brands. Based in Leicester Square, you’ll be part of the highly skilled internal video team helping to create exciting, high-quality social videos with talent across the music and entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shooting (45%): Support filming requests across Global, covering single and multi-camera shoots from our in-house studios and on location.
  • Editing (45%): Edit short-form, social-first videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more, supporting brands with their editorial content needs.
  • Studio Support (10%): Assist with capturing live and pre-recorded content from our visualised radio and podcast studios.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Filmed content using our in-house camera and lighting equipment.
  • Become competent in the team’s edit workflows, delivering consistent, high-quality social edits for Global’s brands.
  • Trained on how to use our studios and capture content from our visualised radio and podcast studios.
  • Increased your editing speed, confidence and attention to detail.
  • Established yourself as an important member of the internal video team

 

What You’ll Need

  • Filming: Experience using professional cameras, including the Sony FX3, FX6 and A7 range. Please provide examples of your work. Live studio experience would be a bonus.
  • Editing: A solid foundation in video editing with recent examples of editing short-from videos for social.
  • Software skills: Solid working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects and Photoshop, would be a bonus.
  • Captions & versioning: Comfortable producing accurate subtitles and delivering deferent formats for social
  • Audio basics: Basic audio clean-up and levelling skills, with good judgement when selecting music and SFX from approved libraries.
  • Speed & feedback: Able to work quickly to tight deadlines with a strong attention
  • Flexibility: Willing to occasionally work early mornings, evenings and weekends at Global’s big events.
