About the position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Legal Counsel (NQ-2 PQE) to provide critical support to our Legal and Compliance team in London. You’ll work alongside our experienced colleagues, handling commercial contracts and projects across a wide range of legal work. 

You’ll also provide clear, practical advice to various teams across the firm and help draft, review and negotiate ETF authorised participant agreements, market maker agreements, broker agreements, terms of business, non-disclosure agreements, intercompany agreements and other trading-related contracts.

Additional responsibilities may include: 

  • Reviewing other documents in relation to corporate actions
  • Responding to inquiries regarding existing and new contracts
  • Updating and maintaining templates in line with internal guidelines
  • Advising on company law and corporate governance 
  • Providing direct legal support to trading desks on new business initiatives 
  • Liaising with external counsel and other external advisers
  • Supporting colleagues across our global offices
About you
  • A qualified lawyer in England and Wales (other jurisdictions may be considered) with up to 2 years of post-qualification experience
  • Have experience with corporate or financial transactions at a trading firm, hedge fund or law firm, with experience drafting and negotiating contracts
  • Having some regulatory experience would be a plus, but is not essential 
  • Proactive; able to take initiative and drive negotiations forward
  • Organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Able to problem-solve and work independently on complex tasks
  • Confident when interacting with all levels of management
  • Positive, responsible and professional in attitude and presence
  • Fluent in English
