This role is hybrid and will require regular weekly attendance at our London office.

As a Junior Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of ZILO’s infrastructure as we continue to build a next-generation platform.

You will work closely with Infrastructure, DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams to help maintain secure, scalable, and reliable environments. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their infrastructure career who is eager to develop hands-on experience in cloud platforms, container orchestration, and blockchain-enabled technologies.


Requirements

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and improvement of cloud infrastructure in AWS, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters for containerised applications.
  • Help support blockchain-integrated infrastructure using Hyperledger Firefly and Hyperledger Besu.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and health using logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
  • Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure, platform, and deployment issues across development and production environments.
  • Work with DevOps and engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Help maintain infrastructure as code and configuration management practices.
  • Support security and compliance requirements across cloud and infrastructure services.
  • Document processes, configurations, and operational runbooks.
  • Keep up to date with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and blockchain platforms.
  • Support cloud infrastructure design and deployment activities in AWS.
  • Assist with managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads.
  • Help monitor and support Hyperledger Firefly integrations and Besu blockchain network environments.
  • Contribute to system monitoring, alerting, and log management.
  • Support collaboration across Infrastructure, DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams.
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving issues across the infrastructure stack.

Requirements

  • Some experience in an infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, platform engineering roles.
  • Basic understanding of AWS services.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based deployment concepts.
  • Awareness of infrastructure as code principles and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn from troubleshooting and operational incidents.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
