The role of the European Marketing team is to make the Samsung brand and products desirable. Our remit stretches from brand, marketing, PR to Samsung.com, CRM, social media and retail.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

The aim is to support Samsung’s global launch marketing campaigns for Samsung European regions and European sustain campaigns for our Consumer Electronics portfolio (TVs, Sound Devices, Home Appliances etc). This will involve facilitating our 16 European Markets’ local plans, supporting and influencing launch marketing plans, as well supervising implementation across Europe.

You will inspire Suwon, EU marketers and a team of very hardworking individuals at EO marketing. It requires an agile and passionate Junior Marketing Manager with an excellent team spirit and understanding of culture, competitors and what makes our audiences tick.

Your Key Deliverables:

  • Support the Head of CE GTM and the team of Marketing Managers on global campaign delivery for Europe as well as proactive European campaign initiatives.

  • Support the subsidiaries with day to day queries and marketing asset navigation from Suwon and cross functional EO teams

  • Identify & address potential issues to support markets with a correct and timely launch campaign implementation

  • Ensure optimisation of the category marketing budget spend, and compliance with EO guidelines by raising campaign lines, PPs and POs.

  • Work closely with all team members across Marketing teams (PR, Retail, CRM, D2C, Dotcom, eRetail, CMI, Planning etc) and Finance to ensure clear info sharing & project management of the launch process

  • Identify and share outstanding marketing practices across Samsung Europe that will support our centralised approach and lead on efficiencies across the business

  • Support monitoring & tracking of local subsidiary marketing plans, to ensure correct approval path is followed, and give to a high compliance rate in Europe

  • Help establish tracking and reporting processes and how this information is circulated

  • Identify stretch goals and improvements in day to day team operations and also campaign activity

  • Work in close partnership with EU marketing teams at all level of Marketing activities.

  • Proven experience in Project and campaign across multiple markets.

  • Appreciation and exposure to agency management, PR, Social, B2B, Media, ATL and BTL streams of work

  • Influencing skills to convince others, to see their point of view and articulate how project improvements can deliver against business objectives

  • Build a network, understand different points of view, overcome objections, deliver a vision, a plan and then make it happen by working with and through others

  • Attend and present plans at key meetings both to internal and external collaborators

  • Be able to summarise complex information in a succinct and efficient manner to drive desired actions. You will need to use your influence to get information from various team members and then harmonise often conflicting viewpoints in concise viewpoints or presentations.

What does success look like?

  • Helping the team develop and coordinate the EO GTM plan that supports the end-to-end process from pre-launch planning to sales sustain execution.

  • Contributing to pan-EU efficiencies of campaign execution through the coordination of regional implementation and adaption of locally developed initiatives.

  • Building strong relationships and understanding of all EO marketing functions (Digital, Platform, PR, Retail, etc.) to support the Head of GTM in driving an integrated marketing strategy & execution
