Job Title: Junior Data Analyst

Your new role: Junior Data Analyst

If you’re looking for an opportunity to develop your analytical skills as part of a fast-developing team, then this role is for you!

As a Junior Data Analyst at Global, you’ll combine your curiosity for insight and your enthusiasm for delivering effective analytical solutions to help evolve Global’s market-leading business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing analytical solutions for business needs (40%): You will develop an understanding of the business and support the team in gathering requirements, exploring data, and building solutions to answer business questions. You will help create clear and engaging data visualisations in Tableau or similar BI tools to support reporting and decision-making.

  • Helping to solve data and process challenges (30%): You will work with the team to investigate data issues, identify root causes, and support improvements to data processes. With guidance from colleagues, you will build your problem-solving skills and contribute to maintaining robust and reliable data outputs.

  • Learning, growing, and supporting the team (30%): You will take a proactive approach to learning new skills, tools, and ways of working. You will bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to take on new challenges, while supporting your teammates and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built a good understanding of our business operating model within commercial, alongside some awareness of our classic audio, outdoor, and consumer businesses

  • Developed a foundation of knowledge of the key data warehouses, systems, and workflows used by your squad

  • Started working hands-on with data, supporting projects through testing outputs, building simple solutions, and helping answer business questions

  • Built strong relationships with team members and stakeholders, learning about ongoing projects and contributing your ideas with confidence and curiosity

  • Shown enthusiasm for learning, a willingness to take on challenges, and a positive attitude towards supporting the team

What You’ll Need

  • Interest in Data Visualisation and Analysis: Some exposure to BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and/or SQL, whether through education, internships, projects, or self-learning, would be beneficial.

  • Teamwork and Support: A positive, collaborative attitude and a genuine willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a friendly, inclusive team environment.

  • Communication: The ability to explain your thinking clearly, ask good questions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
