We are looking for a Junior Client Accountant to join our office in London. In this position you will play a key role in the growth of our SPV Management business.
The position
As a Junior Client Accountant within the SPV Management side of the Client Accounting team, every day brings a new challenge so you’ll need to be a team player at heart, with an eye for detail and great organizational skills so you can prioritize your day to ensure deadlines are met and timelines are adhered to. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Client Accountants and Senior Client Accountants in the team with their designated clients. You will be a part of a supportive team, own your tasks and proactively manage your deliverables and resolve any issues that may arise.

You will be assigned to assist with client accounting administration for a portfolio of clients. You will need to be highly organized, pay close attention to detail and be keen to cope with multiple tasks, prioritize and provide excellent customer services, which CSC is well known for. You will develop extensive knowledge of producing monthly management accounts and production of standalone financial statements under FRS 102.
Knowing how to build an effective and positive relationship with clients, through quality services, honest integrity and sincerity is essential. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues to find solutions and build strong customer relationships with existing and new clients, gaining insight into their needs and deliver customer centric solutions.
You will work with senior colleagues on an international client that operates within the hotel industry and will also have the opportunity to assist clients in private equity, consultancy, IT, transportation and holding companies. The main responsibility initially will be production of monthly management accounts and you will develop the relevant technical accounting expertise and experience in respect of the production of the monthly management accounts.
Your responsibilities
Financial Services
Prepare monthly management accounts under UK GAAP using Microsoft dynamics.
Support the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements under FRS 102 using CCH Accounts production software.
Assist with audit liaison and help prepare supporting documentation.
Support communication with tax advisers to ensure corporation tax returns are prepared and filed within statutory deadlines.
Support the production of ad hoc reports and perform detailed analysis as and when required.
Contribute to maintaining positive client relationships and promoting a professional image of CSC.
Work closely with Cash Management team to facilitate client payment administration processes.
Provide information and support to Company Secretarial team to help ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Assist with implementation of updates to accounting policies and procedures in line with changes in accounting standards.
People & Team Support
Work with senior team members to support day-to-day tasks and contribute to the timely delivery of services.
Support senior team members with delegated tasks and contribute to team objectives while developing technical and professional skills.
Work collaboratively within the team to achieve shared objectives and maintain high standards of client service.
Your profile
Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or studying towards a professional qualification.
Basic to good working knowledge of management accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 102).
Some experience assisting with the preparation of financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102).
A motivated and reliable individual with a willingness to learn and a hands-on approach.
Good English language and communication skills.
