The Company

Octopus Legacy is the place to plan for death and find support after loss. When people think about planning for death they think about wills, life insurance and funerals. We take these cold processes and turn them into something more human. Share more than money: leave voice notes, music, recipes. Shape a legacy that connects you while you're here. And after you're gone.

Founded by Sam after his mum died suddenly, we’re a group of people who work in death because we’ve been affected by it. We know the difference a good plan makes, and what it’s like when there isn’t one.

Death can come between us, leaving mess, legal fees, frustration. But it can also make us stronger. We see a world where people talk openly about death, and work out the real meaning of legacy, one that connects to them. We’re here to make that world happen.

The Role

What You’ll Do

  • Own day-to-day IT operations - user support, onboarding/offboarding, device management, account provisioning, and troubleshooting across the business.
  • Manage and administer Google Workspace - user accounts, groups, security policies, shared drives, and organisational configuration.
  • Manage Apple device fleet via MDM - provisioning, configuration, software deployment, security policies, and lifecycle management for MacBooks and iOS devices.
  • Maintain security and compliance - enforce security policies, manage access controls, coordinate with the engineering team on infrastructure security, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Manage vendor relationships - liaise with suppliers for hardware, software licensing, connectivity, and third-party services.
  • Document processes and systems - maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Drive automation and efficiency across IT operations, leveraging AI tools and agent-based workflows to reduce manual processes and improve scalability
  • Contribute to building a more self-service IT environment, enabling employees to resolve common issues independently through tooling, documentation, and automation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline support using modern technologies (e.g. AI assistants, workflow automation, scripting)

  • Experience with user onboarding/offboarding, account management, and IT support in a growing business.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and access management.
