Lead small-to-medium IT projects within Defence, managing budgets, schedules, stakeholders and contracts. Produce business cases, control commercial aspects, and deliver programmes from strategic planning through implementation.
We are looking for highly skilled and experienced IT Project Managers to help us assist our clients deliver high profile projects across the Defence Sector.
As a member of our growing team, you would be working to help us make a difference with our clients in delivering highly complex projects and programmes.
Requirements
Key deliverables:
- Managing and developing small to medium projects or work streams as part of larger projects to deliver the required outcomes.
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects; you will have experience in monthly budgeting/forecasting and managing project budgets.
- Managing project schedule and controlling the time elements of projects
- Managing internal and external Stakeholders in a project environment; use stakeholder management methods and techniques to manage risk and dependencies.
- Project Business Case formulation detailing project’s objectives, costs and benefits demonstrating to stakeholders of its value.
- Demonstrating knowledge and experience of relevant project management skillsets.
- Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience of working with UK Government organisations would be beneficial, particularly Defence.
- Experience of project management and/or programme management, adding value at the initial strategic planning phase all the way into implementation and delivery in the context of Defence and /or Infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience managing NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on capital delivery projects.
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject with relatable experience
- Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2/APM PMQ/AGILE)
