Your role at Dynatrace
Join an innovative IT team and play a key role in developing and managing software asset management solutions to support users with their software needs. This role focuses on software asset management activities such as creating, updating, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining software licenses in the asset management database, as well as overseeing application usage and ensuring compliance with software usage policies. You will also work on identifying opportunities to reallocate or retire unused or restricted software.
Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all software assets and licenses in use, along with detailed use cases.
  • Identify application owners, their responsibilities, and the stakeholders (users) affected by the applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to review and update or retire applications based on their relevance and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the software request and procurement processes.
  • Manage and administer software licenses and access for both existing and new applications.
  • Ensure timely execution of key activities in the software contract lifecycle, including extensions, renewals, and terminations.
  • Support the purchasing department in optimizing licensing costs through vendor consolidation.
  • Develop and generate ad-hoc and automated reports for software asset and license management and usage monitoring, utilizing tools like Excel or other reporting platforms.
  • Conduct software entitlement analysis and ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of entitlements across applications.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and software licensing.
  • Knowledge of licensing models.
  • Strong understanding of software entitlement analysis and ability to track, interpret, and maintain entitlement data.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail oriented.


Desired Experience:

  • Working knowledge of software use case analysis and its application in license management.
  • Working knowledge of software licensing for Open Source, Freeware, and major vendors.
  • Working knowledge of ELP creation and license entitlement analysis.
  • Working knowledge of SAM and ITSM tools, Licensing & Compliance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.


Education:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in IT or Information Management.
  • Practical experience from a job in a similar subject area.


Compensation and rewards

  • We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
  • Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 55,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
