We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and dedicated Associate Project Manager to join our team. You will play a vital role in enhancing our company by supporting the IT Infrastructure team. As a member of the IT team, it is key that you can work independently, as well as working efficiently as part of a team.

    About Central Services

    Based in Burton-on-Trent, SOCOTEC UK’s Head Office houses our Central Services teams. These teams provide a corporate structure to support the wider business. Central Services is broken down into four main areas: Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and IT. Each of these areas is vital to the day-to-day running of SOCOTEC.

    Job Description

    Delivery of IT projects, with a dual focus on effective project management and hands-on technical contribution.

    SOCOTEC is a business experiencing an exciting amount of growth. Working as part of a friendly and welcoming group, you will be helping us manage and implement a number of IT Infrastructure projects.

    Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, and working with various teams. You will help scope, project manage and deliver a range of projects. The projects will mainly be focused on helping us improve our IT landscape, with a particular focus on helping us integrate newly acquired businesses.

    This role is ideal for anyone with a technical background looking to move into project management (We are open to helping you develop) or for someone looking for their next step in a fast growing business with plenty of opportunity.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

    • Relevant technical certifications showcasing expertise in IT infrastructure technologies. 
    • Experience in running projects within IT and IT Infrastructure
    • Good understanding of project management disciplines (PRINCE, MSP & AGILE).
    • General understanding of infrastructure technologies (O365, AD/Entra, VMs)
    • Good presentation and communication skills
