Toyota Financial Services is currently seeking an individual to join its team as an IT Finance & Projects Specialist.

The successful candidate will have a strong IT background, combined with an interest in finance, project coordination, and business processes. .

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with financial analysis and project coordination, while contributing to the successful delivery of IT initiatives.

The role in a nutshell: Responsible for the management, governance and delivery of administrative services across Procurement, Financial and Projects for the IT Department. 

A bit about the ‘Department’: The Business Technology Solutions (BTS) department are responsible for delivering end-to-end business technology and change through their four key functions of Governance, Projects & Change, Delivery and Technical OperationsThey look after both TFSUK and KINTO UK. The mission of BTS is to Give (giving the business the technology, applications and services it needs), Guide (guiding the business through changes using expertise and experience) and Guard (always protect the business).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsibilities to ensure that the Procurement, Financial and Project Governance in IT is undertaken in a structured and controlled manner:

Procurement:

  • Ensure TFSUK’s Purchase Order and Invoicing processes are followed, including costs are correct, allocated to the right cost centre and general ledger codes, goods are received, and any renewals time frames are recorded in the Definitive Software Library.

Financial:

  • Gather and maintain information regarding the IT environment components that support the Services to determine service costs and develop robust and auditable Service Catalogues, including producing quarterly recharge invoices covering BAU Services, Projects and any pass-through costs.
  • Ensure timesheet templates are maintained correctly for projects, services and staff, including adherence to overtime, on-call and expenses policy.
  • Monthly IT Budget reviews, including generation of base data for input into the Annual Budget process performed by the IT General Manager
  • Produce accurate IT Accruals and Fixed Assets at year end
  • Approve invoices, purchase orders, check coding
  • Confident in dealing with auditors from internal and external stakeholders, which include HMRC

Projects:

  • In conjunction with the Portfolio Manager, develop and maintain the portfolio and project records, templates, documentation and reporting

Requirements

Key Experience & Skills:

  • Technical IT Background would be beneficial
  • Finance literate, including budget/financial management alongside good understanding of Opex & Capex
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software with advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills and the ability to explain complex concepts/calculations
  • Experience in Licence Management and Supplier Management.
