Role Description

As a Relationship Manager in our Invoice Finance team, your primary responsibility will be to manage, retain and grow our existing customer portfolio. This will include managing upsizing and renewals of existing customer facilities, as well as winning new customers by managing the end to end process from application to onboarding. You will need to have the right blend of commercial acumen, customer service and the ability to effectively manage SME credit risk to be successful in this role. We expect our Relationship Managers to be recognised as valued partners and experts in business finance by their clients and in the communities they serve.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Relationship manage a portfolio of Invoice Finance SME customers, understanding customers’ needs and business aspirations, and looking for opportunities to support them via Kriya and Allica Bank services.

  • Your primary objective will be to manage, retain and grow our existing portfolio of Invoice Finance customers, ensuring they receive a best-in-class service. This will include managing the upsizing and renewals of existing customer facilities as well as ensuring an appropriate level of ongoing monitoring, financial and covenant reporting and oversight of the portfolio to deliver our target credit performance.

  • You will have the opportunity to originate SME lending opportunities for both existing and new customers from initial enquiry through to completion, including writing credit papers in line with our credit policy and appetite.

  • Delivering the Kriya Invoice Finance business plan, and actively managing your objectives and personal development plan.

  • Making your colleagues proud that you represent Kriya and Allica, by ensuring excellent service for SME customers and prospects.

  • Working closely and collaboratively with the wider sales team on new business opportunities, credit team and payment operations to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided.

  • Being a positive contributor to our culture, and always demonstrating our values.

  • Complying with all mandatory policies, and adhering to operational procedures to maintain internal controls.

Personal Attributes & Experience

  • Highly capable Relationship Manager and Business Developer with a long-term track record of building high-value, trust-based and long-lasting relationships.

  • You will need to have a strong understanding of SME lending, which must include a background in Invoice Finance.

  • You will be able to demonstrate a history of exemplary level of service, and of maximising the value with prospects and customers.

  • You’ll demonstrate an ability to analyse and review financial accounts and associated information.

  • You will be able to demonstrate a passion for SMEs, be a self-starter and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to your work.

  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with evidence of strong career progression and/or outperformance.

  • You’ll be able to evidence an ability to work expertly with customers and colleagues to structure new lending proposals and write credit applications.

  • You’re able to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with high personal accountability and a bias toward action.

  • You bring strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify cross-sell opportunities.

  • You’ll have a proven track record in providing excellent customer service, and in generating new income opportunities whilst effectively managing credit risk.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and building and improving processes.
