At Octopus Energy Generation (OEGEN), we're passionate about powering a sustainable future. As pioneers in the renewable energy space, we don’t just invest in utility-scale projects; we invest in people, communities, and a greener tomorrow.
Since stepping into the renewables arena in 2010, we've made waves—becoming a top investor in onshore wind across mainland Europe, the largest backer of solar power in Europe, and now, we're diving into offshore wind with equal enthusiasm. Today, we proudly manage over £7bn in renewable energy assets worldwide.
Our dynamic portfolio includes over three hundred major energy-generating companies, from wind farms to solar power plants, with exciting new ventures in energy storage and hydrogen on the horizon. As we continue to grow, we're looking for passionate individuals to join our diverse and dedicated team, helping us drive the future of renewable energy forward.
Whilst we maintain a degree of flexibility, this position requires an average of 3 days in the office per week.
We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join the Fund Management team on a fixed term contract to help drive forward investor facing activities and deliverables, focused on our flagship listed investment trust, Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (“ORIT”).
What you'll do
- Be responsible for maintaining records of key investor contacts, interactions and requests to build understanding of their investment objectives and directly support the Fund Managers to tailor presentations and address the right issues in the right meetings
- Identify (in coordination with the corporate broker) key investor targets and develop the marketing strategy accordingly, including coordination of meetings/roadshows and required materials
- Internally project manage fundraising activities, coordinating inputs, proofreading for quality and directly contributing where necessary to the prospectus and various other documents including taking responsibility for certain deliverables e.g. Placing Agreements
- Oversee and project manage ORIT’s investor inbox, responding to or delegating queries to relevant team members and ensuring timely responses
- Coordinate responses to queries from investors (e.g. DDQs, ESG templates, ad hoc queries following meetings), ensuring consistency across all fund responses
- Manage ORIT’s website; coordinate with internal teams to ensure all policies, marketing materials and disclosures are relevant and up to date as well as managing the production of engaging content for retail and institutional investors including videos, educational content and thought leadership
- Coordinate, produce and help to present bespoke materials for meetings with existing or prospective investors, tailored to the investor’s specific requests and interests
- Coordinate, design and produce all of the ORIT’s external facing documents, such as regulatory news service (RNS) announcements, quarterly factsheets, pitch decks, the annual and interim reports and associated presentations, as well as key regulatory documents such as the KID and EMT template
- Gather market intelligence, including competitor analysis, peer group activity, industry best practice and key issues affecting investors
- Act as the last defence in quality control by checking and questioning data/materials before they are distributed to the market
- Support and lead on several ongoing OEGen initiatives to improve the reporting quality, consistency and transparency to our investors

- Relevant work experience in the financial sector, preferably in an investor relations, fundraising or marketing role
- Creative flair with excellent written skills and ability to build engaging presentations and investor deliverables
- Numerate and able to understand financial concepts
