About the job

Saxo provides the leading online trading platform, connecting investors and traders to global financial markets. Ultimately everything we do is focused on getting curious people invested in the world. We give our clients more opportunities to maximise their wealth.

As part of this deeply held commitment, we are looking for a UK Content Strategist.

Our content strategy and delivery are the connective tissue between Saxo and our retail investor customers, giving them a broad and deep understanding of the investment landscape. This is more than just brand engagement; this is our mission for everyone to be invested. It is about making sure our customers find the right knowledge at the right time.

As our UK strategist, you will be responsible for translating expert investment insights and analysis into compelling, customer-centric investing content, bringing a blend of investment writing, technical investment insight and thought-leadership. You will highlight investment concepts in a relatable and accessible way.

You will be able to move fluidly between the worlds of financial analysts, market economists and customer experience designers, proactively leading conversations about financial market trends and content effectiveness in equal measure. You will be involved in content strategy as well as actively writing in-depth investment pieces. Fundamental to your success will be forging strong relationships with key stakeholders and project managing the content plan for UK clients, from ideation through to publication, following through with content measurement, insights and optimization. This is about creating compelling customer experiences delivered via a long-term content marketing plan.

As a FinTech platform that helps curious people to be invested, we are naturally positioned to deliver a comprehensive content offering that brings real added value to our current and future customers. To be successful in this role it will take a curious mindset and a clear passion for the investment landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Produce compelling investor content, themes and actionable ideas, curated for a UK audience
  • Tailor output for our different client personas, eg traders vs investors
  • Become the public face of Saxo UK; leveraging the power of Press & PR to gain mind share and brand awareness
  • Work closely with UK journey owners to achieve a multi-channel distribution plan
  • Embrace short form video delivered to clients via in-platform welcome screens
  • Drive the thought leadership agenda proactively by staying up to date on financial markets, scanning for trends, distilling that analysis, and finding the real hook that connects with our customers
  • Evangelize content across the Saxo UK office;  and across client journeys, communicating our content strategy clearly, requesting and coordinating timely content inputs, managing publication expectations and closing the feedback loop
  • Critically examine the value of the insight we are bringing to customers and to the business, using relevant data metrics, to drive client activation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization who come to content from different angles—like PR, brand, legal, risk, and more—to facilitate progress and influence direction
  • Champion the value of good shareable content among other teams
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Maintain and implement writing guidelines that are in line with our brand and voice

Your Profile

You have demonstrable experience in investments and/or other complex financial instruments, with a solid understanding of financial markets. Enjoy staying up to date with macro, asset class, sector, and geographical trends. You are adept at moving between strategy and hands-on writing and editing, showing a clear curiosity for content performance and demonstrating actions that optimize and continuously improve the customer experience.

Understanding consumer needs and making complex investing concepts as straightforward and relevant as possible is crucial. With a journalistic mindset, you are interrogative, confident, and creative. Comfortably hosting interviews with senior experts to canvas their views and get to the heart of the story and why it matters is a key skill.

You are exceptionally organized, able to collaborate and communicate effectively, and can build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Creating comprehensive briefs to enable subject matter experts and designers to contribute to content creation is vital. You work seamlessly with stakeholders from design, marketing, brand, and product teams to ensure a consistent voice across communications.

Maintaining high standards for content quality, combining technical accuracy with effective storytelling techniques and systems thinking, is expected. You champion content effectiveness and efficiency throughout the business, lifting others to these high standards. Fluency in written and verbal English, along with data literacy to understand reports, charts, and tables about investing, and determining how to make these more accessible to customers, is crucial.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we have found the right employees.
