The role
The core purpose of this role is to provide operational support to the Investment team, by ensuring the smooth execution of daily tasks and processes. This role will assist with trade operations, reconciling transactions, and supporting the oversight of key partners such as the Middle Office Provider, the Custodian and ETD Clearers.
You'll be carrying out activities for direct and non-direct portfolios, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You'll monitor daily activities and support preparation of the daily cash flow forecast, adhering to internal deadlines, and raising any discrepancies to Portfolio Management.
The person
We're looking for you to have gained relevant transferable experience, providing dedicated trade support or operations support, in an investment focused financial institution. You have hands-on practical experience of owning tasks, managing your own workload and using your initiative to re-prioritise frequently. You'll also need to demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills and a good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (preferably intermediate or advanced level).
The role will require you to demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines and prioritise tasks, whilst maintaining accuracy and high standards. Working cooperatively and collaboratively to support others is key to the role in this close knit team, so you'll need to be a real team player and able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
This is a great opportunity to develop and grow your skills – we'll provide all the support and training you need, and in return we'll be looking for you to show curiosity and a desire to learn and understand how the tasks and processes you support fit into the broader operation.
Our values of integrity, community and alignment are the guiding principles that influence our behaviour. They help us make decisions and shape our relationships with others. They're what we stand for. You will actively demonstrate our values, helping to create a safe environment, to place the needs of the community above oneself and, through a culture of 'fair challenge', align to the best interests of our members.
