Job summary

The Intune Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for the configuration, administration, optimisation, and support of Microsoft Intune and associated modern endpoint management services. The role will focus on managing Windows devices, application deployment, compliance policies, endpoint security, Windows Autopilot, operating system upgrades, and automation across the Microsoft 365 device management environment.

What you will do

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device enrolment, application deployment, compliance policies, and endpoint configuration.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Intune configuration profiles, security baselines, compliance settings, and device policies to support a secure and productive Windows device environment.
  • Deploy and manage applications, application updates, and operating system upgrades through Microsoft Intune.
  • Configure and support Windows Autopilot for modern device provisioning and deployment.
  • Implement and monitor endpoint security controls through Intune, including conditional access integration, compliance policies, and security configuration settings.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and workplace technology teams to enhance endpoint protection and respond to security incidents.
  • Administer and troubleshoot devices, resolving complex technical issues across the managed endpoint estate.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to support Intune configuration, administration, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Create, maintain, and improve documentation covering Intune configurations, support processes, standards, and best practices.

What we expect of you

We'd love to hear from you if you have experience with:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune device management, application management, compliance, and configuration policies.
  • Experience with Windows Autopilot, modern device provisioning, and Windows operating system upgrade deployment.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, cloud identity management, RBAC, licensing, and endpoint compliance.
  • Practical PowerShell scripting skills for automation, reporting, and endpoint administration.
  • Experience implementing MDM, MAM, and MCM policies within an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of endpoint security principles, conditional access, and integration with wider Microsoft 365 security capabilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex device, enrolment, application deployment, and policy issues.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to define repeatable standards and operational guidance.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, including MD-102 or equivalent current certification.
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, including AZ-104 or equivalent current certification.
  • Legacy Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator certification, including MD-101, where applicable.
