We make health happen

At Bupa, our purpose is simple: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

As an International Tax Manager (FTC), you’ll play a key role in supporting that purpose. You’ll help ensure our global tax approach is responsible, transparent, and aligned with how we care for our customers and communities.

Working within Group Finance, you’ll be part of a collaborative and experienced Group Tax team.

This role gives you exposure to international tax matters across multiple markets, offering the chance to influence decisions on cross-border activity and help shape how we manage tax risk and opportunities globally.

You’ll also get the opportunity to work on complex projects, partner with teams across different countries, and contribute to continuous improvement in how we operate.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

As our International Tax Manager, you’ll:

  • Provide clear and practical UK and international tax advice.

  • Support cross-border transactions, funding structures and business changes.

  • Identify risks and opportunities, helping the business make informed decisions.

  • Work closely with teams across different markets to ensure compliance with local tax rules.

  • Contribute to transfer pricing and related documentation.

  • Support key processes such as Country-by-Country Reporting and Corporate Interest Restriction calculations.

  • Help manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.

  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and explain what they mean for Bupa.

  • Look for ways to improve processes, systems, and how we use data in tax.

What you'll bring:

We’re looking for someone who is confident, collaborative and comfortable working across a global organisation.

You’ll bring:

  • A recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA or CTA).

  • Experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational business or large advisory firm.

  • Strong understanding of UK and international tax principles.

  • The ability to analyse data, challenge assumptions, and form clear views.

  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with data.

  • Strong communication skills — able to explain complex topics in a straightforward way.

  • A team-focused approach, working well with people across different functions and locations.

  • The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

Benefits

Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family-friendly benefits.

Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:

  • 25 days holiday, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell.

  • Fixed-term benefits allowance.

  • Access to our wellbeing programmes and mental health support.

  • Bonus scheme up to 10%.

  • Pension scheme.

  • Discounts on Bupa products and services.

  • Opportunities for career development and internal mobility.
