Job Description

What You’ll Do

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned international markets (Belgium), ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs with local stakeholders and payroll providers, while monitoring key deadlines and mitigating risks.
  • Perform payroll validations, audit-compliant checks, year-end activities, and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Act as a key contact for payroll-related queries, finance reconciliations, tax submissions, and third-party payments.
  • Lead regular meetings with payroll providers and collaborate with global payroll teams to track and resolve actions and issues.
  • Maintain payroll documentation, ensure compliance with local legislation, identify process improvements, and provide support across the wider payroll team as needed.

What You’ll Bring  

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, ideally including exposure to Belgium payroll, with a strong understanding of payroll operations and compliance.
  • Professional payroll accreditation (e.g. CIPP or international equivalent) and knowledge of payroll legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and external providers.
  • A proactive, organised, and resilient approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
