We're looking for an International Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll across multiple foreign jurisdictions. This role is responsible for oversight of payroll processing, statutory compliance, governance, internal controls, payroll accounting support, and third-party vendor management, ensuring our people get paid accurately and on time, every time.
As the Payroll Manager, you'll be the subject matter expert for our international payroll across the UK, Spain, Czech Republic, India, Singapore, and Australia jurisdictions, and the primary point of contact for our third-party providers.
Key responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end payroll processing across international jurisdictions
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with third-party payroll providers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
  • Coordinate with HR partners on source data and associated initiatives.
  • Maintain payroll calendars and oversee on-cycle and off-cycle payroll delivery across all in-scope countries. Coordinate and review payroll processing inputs/outputs and associated management sign-offs.
  • Maintain payroll processing internal controls, and supporting Accounting Team Member partners on payroll accounting including journal entries, account reconciliations, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, social security, employment law, and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Act as the primary payroll processing SME for the respective international countries and partner to third-party payroll processing organizations along with internal Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Human Resource, Legal and other teams.
  • Act as integral team member to payroll systems implementations including Workday and CloudPay, transformation, system enhancements, and acquisition integration initiatives.

Required experience
  • 10+ years of international payroll experience within a multinational organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday and CloudPay.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct or other cloud-based ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-country payroll legislation and compliance, ideally the UK and Czech Republic.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven vendor management skills and the ability to manage third-party payroll provider relationships operationally.
  • Ability to manage staff expectations and deal with any discrepancies on timely basis
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and controls. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Payroll support and integration experience relating to mergers and acquisitions.
  • CIPP, CPP, ACCA, IPASS, or equivalent payroll qualifications.
