Internal Sales Consultant
Salary: Between £25,000 and £27,000 OTE
Location: Scunthorpe
35 hours per week (Mon - Fri)
Responsibilities:
If we had to describe our Internal Sales Consultants, we’d say: confident, resilient and absolute go-getters.
You’re the type who’s energised by a ringing phone, sees opportunity in every conversation and refuses to let a good lead go cold. You’ve got the charm, the grit and the get-stuff-done attitude that turns “just calling for a chat” into booked appointments and real pipeline.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
The Role in a Nutshell
As an Internal Sales Consultant, you’re the first spark in our sales engine. You’ll be the person generating opportunities, following up on campaigns, nurturing leads and making sure nothing — and no one — slips through the cracks.
This isn’t a passive role. It’s phones on, HubSpot open, conversations happening and momentum building. You’ll make outbound calls, respond to inbound enquiries, support marketing campaigns, keep our CRM spotless and help ensure every promising prospect becomes a genuine opportunity for our sales team.
If you love talking to people, thrive on targets and get a buzz from progress, you’ll feel right at home.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Relationship Building
- Make outbound calls to prospective clients, warming up leads and identifying genuine opportunities.
- Build rapport quickly and maintain ongoing contact with prospects through calls, email and automated nurturing.
- Use HubSpot Sequences, Templates, Documents and Snippets to keep outreach smart, timely and consistent.
- Book high-quality sales appointments that set our sales team up for success.
CRM & Reporting
- Keep HubSpot up to date with 100% accuracy - calls, emails, notes, tasks and follow-ups.
- Track campaign performance, analyse activity and share insights with the Marketing Manager.
- Manage inbound leads via phone, live chat and email, ensuring nothing gets missed.
Campaign Support
- Follow up on marketing campaigns exactly when planned, giving every prospect the attention they deserve.
- Provide feedback on campaign performance and suggestions for improvements.
Customer Interaction
- Handle calls from existing customers and prospects with confidence and professionalism.
- Support promotional activities, events and customer engagement with proactive outreach.
You’ll Smash This Role If You…
- Are a natural communicator who thrives on conversation and building rapport.
- Don’t shy away from objections - you handle them, reframe them and keep the conversation moving.
- Love structure, organisation and hitting clear activity targets month after month.
- Are confident with CRM systems (bonus points for HubSpot).
- See leads as opportunities waiting to be unlocked, not names on a list.
- Take pride in accuracy, from CRM notes to follow-up timing.
- Bring positive energy to every call and every day.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is…
- Confident, friendly and persistent in all the right ways.
- Comfortable with outbound calling and nurturing conversations over time.
- Experienced in a similar role (2+ years).
- Familiar with HubSpot or another CRM and ready to use its tools to make your outreach shine.
- Data-aware, always learning from your activity and improving your approach.
- Clear and effective in both written and verbal communication.
