The Opportunity:

Location: Lutterworth

Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid role based out of our Lutterworth office.

  • Associates living within 30 miles of the office are expected to work on-site two days per week.
  • Associates living more than 30 miles away are expected to work on-site one day per month.
Job Summary

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Internal Product Specialist to join our Equipment & Instruments (E&I) team. In this role, you will support our commercial operations by preparing accurate and technically detailed quotations, managing product sourcing, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth.

How Will You Thrive:
  • Prepare quotations for laboratory equipment, including pricing, delivery, servicing, and whole-life costing.
  • Respond to technical and commercial queries from customers and internal teams via phone, Teams, chat, and email.
  • Investigate lead times and delivery specifications for equipment.
  • Meet KPIs for quotation turnaround and conversion rates.
  • Support cross-functional projects and reporting activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to support business development.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across related product portfolios.
  • Participate in customer visits and sales conferences as needed.
  • Assist the wider IPS team with queries outside the E&I portfolio to ensure efficient workflow and resolution.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Degree in a scientific discipline or minimum two years of laboratory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Solid technical understanding of the Capital Equipment & Instruments portfolio, including familiarity with key products such as CO₂ incubators, centrifuges, and autoclaves.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and SAP.
  • Collaborative mindset with flexibility to support broader business needs.
