What you'll do

You'll shape how Costa Coffee’s team members understand where we’re heading, why it matters and the part they play in our success. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, turning Costa's priorities into a clear and compelling team member narrative. You'll:

  • Own and deliver our internal and leadership communications strategy, annual plan and communications drumbeat, translating business priorities into a rhythm of campaigns, leadership moments and communication activity
  • Shape executive and leadership communications across company-wide meetings, events and key strategic moments
  • Lead communications planning and delivery for major business change and transformation initiatives, including complex or sensitive communications moments.
  • Act as the communications lead for major business priorities, organisational change and strategic programmes
  • Partner with senior and executive leaders, advising on communications strategy and stakeholder engagement, while working collaboratively across communications and business teams
  • Set the measurement approach for internal communications, using insight to demonstrate impact and continuously improve

Who you are

You'll be an experienced communications leader who can move confidently between strategy, senior counsel and high-quality delivery. You'll bring:

  • Extensive internal and leadership communications experience within a large, complex or global organisation
  • A strong track record of translating business priorities into compelling narratives, supported by excellent writing, storytelling and stakeholder management skills
  • Credibility and confidence advising, influencing and constructively challenging executive and senior leaders
  • Proven leadership of high-profile campaigns, leadership events and multi-channel communications from strategy through to measurement
  • Excellent judgement, with experience managing complex, sensitive and fast-moving communications
  • Significant experience leading communications for change, transformation or organisational evolution
  • Experience in retail, hospitality or FMCG would be useful, but isn't essential.

Where you'll work:

Our Support Centre teams work flexibly, combining home working with in-person collaboration. From January 2027, we'll be based in our new St Albans office, with teams coming together three days a week.

A rare opportunity to shape how one of the world's most recognised coffee brands communicates with its people, partnering with senior leaders to influence culture, engagement and business performance across a global organisation.
