Support Quilter to achieve its strategic ambitions by engaging and inspiring colleagues through effective communications. As the Internal Communications Lead at Quilter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our internal communications strategy. 

Strategic communications planning, delivery and outcomes

  • Drive a programme of communication and engagement to create understanding of and connection to Quilter’s purpose, vision, strategy, priorities and performance - being considerate of the needs of the various communities at Quilter.

  • Design communications initiatives to support Quilter’s culture evolution, focused on areas of ambition, accountability and learning; and in support of Quilter’s people strategy including a focus on talent development and DEI.

  • Through exceptional stakeholder management, ensure communications meet the needs of each area of the business and that our ExCo are supported with their leadership engagement ambitions.

  • Support Quilter’s change agenda through considered communications approaches, helping colleagues to understand and thrive through change.

  • Shape Quilter’s key engagement touchpoints, such as the all-colleague conferences, to be highly engaging and stand out communication points in the corporate calendar.

  • Evolve and improve our internal communications channels, mechanisms and outcomes, working closely with the employee experience lead.

Stakeholder and Relationship management

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Executive Committee, key colleagues within the business, HR, Marketing and others.

  • Collaborate with leadership, HR, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment, buy-in, value, and seamless execution of communications initiatives.

  • Manage strategic partnerships with third-party organisations and leverage your own network to enhance our communications efforts.

  • Communicate Effectively: Serve as the primary advisor for internal communications and engagement.

Management and measurement

  • Establish metrics and measurement frameworks to assess the progress and impact of the communications strategy on key commercial metrics and refine strategies to ensure continued success, including leveraging the results of our regular employee engagement survey.

  • Mitigate Risks: Proactively identify potential risks and implement strategies to address them.

  • Balance Priorities: Manage multiple projects efficiently, and across the internal communications team, ensuring smooth execution and adequate support for all parts of Quilter.

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and trends related to communications and engagement, bringing new perspectives into our function.

About You

  • You may come from a pure internal comms background, or may have experience in PR, marketing, employee engagement and other relevant fields. But being a brilliant leader with energy, enthusiasm and a deep desire to make a positive different to our people and organisation is paramount.

  • Proven experience in designing business-focused communications strategies with measurable outcomes.

  • Exceptional creative and writing skills to drive the highest standards of communications and engagement through our organisation and ensuring these standards are upheld through our internal communications and employee experience ecosystem.

  • Internal communications experience operating at a senior stakeholder (C-suite) level.

  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset to deliver innovative communications initiatives aligned with commercial objectives and the broader people strategy, that drive business results.

  • Experience of planning, creating and delivering internal communication plans in support of employee engagement, strategic programmes and change agendas.

  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively connect with, negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate, lead and develop a team of communications professionals to achieve outstanding results.

  • Credibility, professionalism and strong personal integrity.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles to achieve maximum engagement and impact.

  • Analytical skills to measure and evaluate the impact of communications efforts.

  • Ability to pick up the financial services industry quickly and understand the economic dynamics of the wealth sector, and develop an excellent understanding of the business, to operate at pace and enable proactive and highly relevant internal communications delivery.

  • A standout team player willing to get stuck in and work together to make a meaningful impact on the organisation.
