Why this role?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Intern to join our Finance team for a 6-month paid internship and support Snyk’s rapid growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This position is responsible for supporting accounts payable and T&E processes and will participate in the optimization of the procure-to-pay system. The role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and offers valuable exposure to cross-functional collaboration and finance operations within a global organization

What you'll do:
  • Manage the day-to-day monitoring of the Accounts Payable team email box, responding to inquiries from both internal and external parties.

  • Process accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately, ensuring proper application of purchase orders and proper coding of non-order invoices.

  • Participate in various compliance initiatives, including but not limited to adhering to local and global AP regulations.

  • Work closely with the AP Manager to ensure timelines are met for monthly and quarterly close.

  • Work closely with the IT, People, Procurement, and Treasury teams to collaborate on automation and process improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Snyk’s business partners to ensure prompt and accurate payment processing.

  • Assist in the Coupa procure-to-pay system optimization.

  • Reconciling company credit card transactions and assigning proper GL codes.

  • Participate in various projects for AP process automation.

  • Stay updated on AP best practices and compliance regulations to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to standards.

What you bring:
  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in accounting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • To be easy to work with and able to build strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders that have diverse interests.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Strong communication skills in both written and oral forms.

  • Attention to detail and extreme care in performing tasks accurately and carefully.

  • A strong working knowledge of accounts payable systems, processes, and controls.
