Reporting to the Group Insurance Manager, this is a hands-on role offering the right individual the perfect opportunity to catapult forward their career in insurance by gaining invaluable in-house experience in a fast-growing organisation.  You will be partner with the Group Insurance Manager in all aspects of GBT’s corporate insurance programme, spanning a number of lines of corporate insurance and given the opportunity to develop your commercial knowledge of business as a whole. The role offers a varied, interesting and broad work experience to cover:

  • GBT’s global insurance budget
  • Liaise with brokers and the business as part of the insurance policies renewals processes
  • Support claims process with the assistance of brokers and any insurance audits
  • Learn about the business to better assess the risks that need to be managed
  • Interest to learn how to advise and educate the business on GBT’s insurance coverage including input to client, supplier and vendor contracts
  • Work alongside leadership on our strategic insurance roadmap aimed at making the insurance programme work better for the business in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible, including integration of insurance program of recent acquisitions

What You'll Do:

  • A university graduate with a relevant professional qualification
  • Currently performing a similar in-house insurance role, ambitious to progress to an insurance leadership role or an individual currently in broking or underwriting, looking for a first move into industry
  • Someone with a good understanding of how insurance works across various lines, able to communicate very simply its practical application, both in writing and orally, to a non-technical audience

  • Team player and good communicator – will be needed to interact with/challenge the broker and the wider business
  • Drive – being a remote worker will necessitate the individual to take ownership, accountability and initiative to ensure delivery of objectives
  • An inquisitive mind – challenge the status quo to ensure continuous improvement
  • Strong organisational skills
