As a team:
People in the Sales role grow pipeline and sales by supporting, managing or leading the origination and/or closing of sales opportunities in a specific area or across a range of Accenture offerings. They progress by deepening sales skills and/or developing new related skills, growing into more complex sales roles, laterally, upward, or in their current role.
The Sales Teams lead the sale of large and complex opportunities at Accenture in the UK and Ireland across a variety of different industries. It is a dynamic team made up of Sales Origination Leads, Sales capture Leads, Deal Shapers and Bid Managers who lead and support opportunities that often combine the full breadth of Accenture. We work with most of the major clients across many market sectors, as well as working with new players in the industry. What responsibilities will you have?
As an Infrastructure Services Sales Lead, you will shape and execute the sales strategy for our services across industry and client groups. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing sales strategies: Shape and implement effective sales plans to achieve individual and global revenue targets, focusing on infrastructure transformation and managed services deals including mult-tower deals covering Cloud, Workplace and Networks as well developing capabilities.
- Building and maintaining client relationships: Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Identifying and capturing new opportunities: Use your sales expertise to identify and shape high-value deals, overseeing the entire deal cycle from qualification to negotiation and closing, ensuring they meet client needs and our objectives.
- Leading large, complex bids: Engage with C-suite leaders to secure significant deals, often over $10m, acting as the lead for both single- and multi-tower opportunities.
- Developing effective sales strategies: Manage deal creation, value propositions, deal processes, and closures, ensuring strategies are competitive, deliverable, and profitable.
- Creating compelling deal visions: Use storytelling and deep client engagement to support strategy development and manage deals through the sales cycle, including team and work plan management.
- Navigating deals through approvals: Work with leadership to ensure deals align with company goals and client needs, navigating them through the necessary approval processes.
- Reporting and analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong industry contacts: Established network of client contacts within the C-Suite and their Transformation and Operations leads, enabling you to leverage relationships for business development.
- Updated on industry trends: Advanced knowledge on the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape to provide clients with innovative and relevant solutions.
- Infrastructure Experience: Deep knowledge of infrastructure transformation and managed services, with an understanding of delivery challenges.
- Leadership in complex bids: Experience leading large, complex bids including shaping deals to deliver mutually beneficial deals for client and company.
- Effective negotiation skills: Strong negotiation skills with a track record of developing win and close plans, coaching deal teams, and achieving successful outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and service delivery, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- Client relationship management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
