Mindera are looking for an Infra Engineer to own (build, configure, deploy, support) our clients in-store video surveillance platform and associated services across the estate. You will own and manage the full lifecycle of their CCTV estate, including cameras (both analogue and IP), NVRs/VMS, storage, networks, and integrations in a hybrid environment; ensuring systems are secure, compliant, resilient, and consistently deployed at scale.

This is a hybrid position where you will be required on site 3 days per week.


Requirements
  • Use your experience, relationship management and experience to define and own the product vision and measurable outcomes for CCTV governance, security hardening and modernisation.
  • Design, build, and maintain CCTV infrastructure (cameras, NVRs, VMS, storage, networks) across on-prem environments and supporting cloud services
  • Standardise and automate camera provisioning, configuration, firmware upgrades, and VMS deployments across the estate
  • Operate and improve monitoring, alerting, and health checks for cameras, recording services, storage capacity, and network throughput
  • Diagnose and resolve CCTV platform issues, leading root cause analysis for recording gaps, latency, dropped streams, or device failures
  • Ensure security, privacy, and compliance (e.g. access control, encryption, retention policies, audit logging) are implemented and maintained in alignment with CSOC and group central security processes.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Must have worked in an large enterprise environment, supporting over 5000 CCTV camera devices.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, resilient CCTV / video surveillance platforms
  • Strong understanding of VMS/NVR architectures, video storage, retention, and failover.
  • Strong on-prem network knowledge (VLANs, PoE, bandwidth planning, multicast/unicast, DHCP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across camera → network → VMS → storage layers
  • Strong understanding of security and data protection in surveillance systems
  • Experience in managing and driving improvements with suppliers for CCTV or associated services such as integrated footfall solutions.
