About this role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant to provide high-level support to the Global Chief Investment Strategist for BlackRock. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities:

Administrative duties

  • Provide administrative support to the Global Chief Investment Strategist and to the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) leadership team, including complex and ever-changing diary management across different time zones.

  • Maintain a clean and effective schedule, ensuring that all appointments and meetings are properly scheduled and coordinated.

  • Proactively coordinate meeting materials and briefings for meetings, ensuring that all necessary information is available to the executive team in a timely manner.

  • Anticipate the needs of the executive team and take initiative to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Travel logistics

  • Strategically coordinate travel from point to point, including booking flights, hotels, and arranging transportation.

  • Manage visa processing and ensure all necessary documentation is in order for international travel.

  • Ensure that all travel expenses are processed in a timely manner using Concur.

  • Stay up to date with travel policies and procedures and communicate any changes to employees as needed.

Communications and collaboration

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for the Chief of Strategy to external stakeholders, including scheduling and organizing meetings, booking meeting rooms, and arranging meetings and refreshments.

  • Manage outgoing communication in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that all correspondence is handled efficiently and effectively.

  • Confidently and competently correspond with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior BII leadership.

  • Collaborate closely with various BII members, including client engagement and portfolio construction teams, in the coordination of client meetings/events, internal weekly leadership and team meetings, oversee production of weekly video market calls and assist in scheduling press engagements for the team.

Desired skills & behaviors:

  • Minimum 5 years of corporate experience in roles with external client liaison at executive level and management offices.

  • Proven experience in an executive support role, with a strong focus on communication and stakeholder management.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Ability to proactively anticipate needs and make sound decisions with minimal direction.

  • Absolute discretion and appropriate handling of sensitive information.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
