We are recruiting an Information Services Officer to provide a legal research enquiries service and regular database training to our key stakeholders. Research elements include specialist legal research, occasional business research, and the monitoring of future legal developments to help our business stand out, grow profitably and win and retain clients.  

The role involves the promotion of legal and business information resources available across the firm, via training sessions, intranet updates, attendance of team meetings and other relevant means. It also supports the fee earners with current awareness provision

This role will be based out of our Central London office. Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, and we operate a 3 days in the office, 2 days from home working model, however as an inclusive employer, we are willing to consider any flexible working requests.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:  

  • Information services experience, including enquiries, preferably in a Legal or professional services environment
  • Experience of delivering training on online information products and research services
  • Ability to deliver presentations and training to groups of people, including senior members of the firm
  • Expert usage of a range of legal databases, from key firmwide resources to smaller niche products, business databases and press resources.
  • Able to evidence a commitment to delivering high-quality customer services in a fast changing and demanding environment
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to handle a demanding workload
