What’s the role about?
As part of our Logistics team, you’ll be joining as our Inbound Optimisation Analyst to ensure the smooth movement of goods from suppliers across various regions worldwide, to Reiss’ UK and US Distribution Centres. This role will be responsible for analysing data and making informed, data-driven decision to optimise freight operations, minimise costs and align shipments with intake requirements.
Who you are
- Highly analytical and with the ability to communicate key insights and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders.
- Exposure within retail and logistics is advantageous, but not essential.
- Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
- An expert in using Microsoft Excel.
- Impeccable time management skills.
- Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Be able to proactively identify and analyse problems and propose solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- The consolidation of stock; generating inbound forecasts to make informed decision on optimal recommendations and confirming these with suppliers.
- Track container utilisation targets versus actual and make decisions regarding approval of underutilised containers versus target.
- Escalate slippages in supplier compliance appropriately to key stakeholders.
- Focus on the control, administration and liaison related to inbound shipments, being the main point of contact for merchandising teams regarding freight.
- Ownership of the reporting suite to track all stages of inbound movements and appropriate escalation of missing production samples impacting ex-factory dates.
- Approval or resolution of shipping exceptions in Freight Forwarder’s system within agreed timelines.
- Facilitate new route requests and coordinate ad hoc quotes, using freight calculator.
