Job Description

P&G is a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) making some of the world’s best loved brands like Gillette, Fairy and Oral-B. Here at our London Plant in West Thurrock we are looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Specialist to support the smooth delivery of HR operations, employee engagement initiatives, and site-wide events. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic manufacturing site, supporting both day-to-day HR processes and the delivery of memorable events that shape our culture and employee experience.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to grow their HR career by gaining exposure to multiple areas including HR systems, payroll coordination, internal communications, and executive support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process employee lifecycle changes in the company HR systems, including promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

  • Provide first-line support to line managers and employees on the HR and workforce management system processes.

  • Process payroll-related updates by ensuring data accuracy in HR and time & attendance systems, managing employee changes impacting pay.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality internal and external events, including site visits, off-site events and site-wide engagements. This includes managing all logistics such as venues, catering, transportation, scheduling, etc. and liaising with external suppliers and venues.

  • Provide administrative support to the Organization Leader by managing calendar scheduling, arranging key stakeholder meetings, and ensuring visibility and preparation for leadership interactions.

  • Lead the creation and distribution of the monthly Site newsletter and other employee communications, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with site culture and business updates.

  • Actively contribute to the planning and execution of community engagement initiatives, including charity partnerships, volunteering activities, and fundraising campaigns as well as supporting the delivery of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines alongside high attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience managing events or coordinating meetings/logistics.

  • Experience using Workday and/or time & attendance systems such as TWFM is desirable.

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing or operational environment is also desired.
