HR Director
Location: London

We are looking for a dynamic HR Director to lead our growing global team, playing a key role in supporting our people and fostering a high-performing workplace.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who wants to build — shaping how we hire, develop and look after people across multiple countries

The HR Director will work closely with senior management and employees on the things that matter as we grow: getting the right people in, keeping them, and making sure our policies and culture keep pace with a fast-moving company. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, has a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. We’re looking for someone pro-active, personable and pragmatic.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and career development.
  • Partner with managers and other teams such as Legal to provide HR guidance, policies and ensure best practices across all teams as well as ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
  • Manage employee relations matters, providing advice and resolution strategies.
  • Oversee HR administration, including maintaining employee records and managing benefits alongside Legal, Finance and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the HR coordinators in London and New York.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and support business growth, employee engagement and company culture
  • We are growing internationally: knowledge and responsibility for US and Canadian employment practices is a plus, and developing an understanding of relevant regimes will be expected.

If you think you have what it takes for the role and have some, but not all, of the above requirements we would encourage your application.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2.1+
  • 6+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a fast-growing company.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Some understanding of non-UK employment law and HR best practices, including working with and managing Employers of Record.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive mindset with a problem-solving attitude.

Benefits
  • Central London office location and opportunity for international business travel.
  • Pension scheme with Aegon, RetireReady.
  • Health insurance with BUPA - all employees are eligible for enrolment for themselves and partners and dependents (if applicable) from Day 1 with Luminance.
  • 25 days annual leave plus an additional day for your birthday.
  • Life Insurance scheme subsidised by Luminance.
  • Paid sabbatical opportunities.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity policies – to support working parents.
  • Annual learning and development budget of £2000 per employee to empower our team members to elevate their potential.
