About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (based in Columbus, Ohio), The HR Director, International will lead the strategic and operational HR agenda across both corporate offices and the retail store network. Additionally, the role will provide direct HR support to the International GM of Direct and International, GM of Indirect Business, with a focus on the UK/I & Germany Business including our Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements – Dubai, Netherlands, & Singapore.

This role will require a dynamic and commercially minded HR leader who can partner with senior business leaders across the UK and international functions to drive talent, culture, and operational excellence. You will oversee a team of 2 HR professionals and collaborate with global HR centres of excellence (COEs) to align regional and international initiatives with the global HR strategy.

Having ideally worked in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment previously, the HR Director will be expected to be hands-on, energetic and agile.

This role will be based in London headquarters, with a headcount of 70 people.


Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the UK Country Manager and senior leadership across corporate and retail.
  • Provide HR partnership to the International GM of Direct and International, GM of Indirect Business, ensuring seamless HR support for their direct reports and international teams.
  • Translate business objectives into HR strategies that support growth, operational efficiency, and culture.
  • Drive alignment of HR practices across the UK and EOR-supported international regions to ensure consistency and compliance

International Sales Organization & EOR Support

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the International GM of Direct and International, GM of Indirect Business across various countries.
  • Manage HR operations, employee relations, and compliance for international employees under EOR arrangements.
  • Partner with third-party EOR vendors to ensure smooth onboarding, performance management, and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Legal and HR COEs to mitigate risks and ensure local employment law compliance via EOR partners.

Talent & Workforce Planning

  • Lead workforce planning, succession, and talent pipeline strategies across corporate, store, and international EOR populations.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract top talent for UK and EOR-supported international roles.
  • Support internal mobility and career development pathways.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Lead employee relations strategy, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with UK employment law and global HR standards.
  • Champion employee engagement and retention strategies, leveraging insights from surveys and feedback.
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture across all geographies.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with UK law and best practices.
  • Oversee HR reporting, workforce analytics, and headcount management across all business units, including EOR tracking.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams as needed on regulatory and vendor matters.

Organizational Development & Performance

  • Drive organizational design and change management initiatives to support business evolution.
  • Facilitate performance management frameworks to ensure accountability and high standards.
  • Support leadership development, coaching, and training initiatives.

HR Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a team of 2-3, covering business partners, store HR advisors, and/or HR admin.
  • Partner with global HR COEs (e.g., Compensation & Benefits, L&D, Talent Management & Acquisition) to ensure coordinated execution of global programs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior HR leadership role, ideally with multi-site retail and corporate exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and international compliance considerations.
  • Experience managing through change, growth, and matrixed global environments.
  • Commercial acumen with a hands-on approach and strategic mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
