About BioPhorum

BioPhorum is a rapidly growing global business-to-business membership organisation serving the life sciences industry. Since 2009, BioPhorum has created a unique environment where biopharmaceutical leaders and experts collaborate to solve industry-wide challenges and accelerate innovation across the sector.

Today, BioPhorum works with over 150 organisations, including 18 of the world’s top 20 biopharmaceutical companies, across a portfolio of specialist “Phorums” spanning Drug Development, Fill Finish, Technology Strategy, Supply Chain Resilience, Sustainability, Data & Digital and more.

Following significant growth, the launch of its first data product and a recent acquisition, BioPhorum is continuing to scale both its core business and adjacent service lines globally.

As part of this continued growth, BioPhorum is now seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support two key commercial business units and help shape the organisation’s evolving people strategy.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the HR Business Partner will partner closely with the Group Training Director and Managing Director of Implementation Services, acting as a trusted advisor across all people-related matters.

This role combines strategic HR partnering with hands-on operational delivery and is ideally suited to someone who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced and collaborative environments.

You will support professional services teams through periods of growth and change, helping to optimise organisational design, workforce planning, performance, engagement and talent development, while ensuring scalable and commercially aligned people practices are embedded across the business.

As part of a small and highly collaborative HR team, you will also take ownership of a specialist HR discipline such as employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management or employee engagement, acting as the internal subject matter expert for that area across the wider organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic influence with practical execution and wants to play a visible role in supporting a scaling international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner strategically with senior leaders across Training and Implementation Services to align people strategy with commercial goals
  • Support organisational design, workforce planning and scaling initiatives across international teams
  • Drive high-performance culture initiatives including talent management, succession planning and leadership coaching
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters and support employee engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate on recruitment and onboarding activity, including support for international growth markets
  • Own and lead a specialist HR discipline across the wider HR function
  • Contribute to broader HR projects and organisational development initiatives
  • Deliver high-quality operational HR support across the employee lifecycle
  • Use people data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation

About You

BioPhorum is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building and operational delivery skills.

You will likely bring:

  • Significant HR Business Partnering experience within high-growth, professional services or consultancy-style environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability, with confidence operating at senior leadership level
  • Experience supporting organisational change, scaling teams and workforce planning initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practice across the employee lifecycle
  • Deep expertise in at least one specialist HR area (e.g. employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management)
  • Up-to-date UK employment law knowledge
  • Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, hands-on and adaptable approach within fast-moving environments

Experience supporting international teams or knowledge of employment practices across Europe and/or India would be highly advantageous.

Why Join BioPhorum?

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected organisation operating at the forefront of the global life sciences sector during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You will work in a collaborative, ambitious and purpose-driven environment where your contribution will have genuine visibility and impact.

Location

This role is home-based within the UK, with international scope and occasional travel within the UK and overseas as required.
