MUFG Bank is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join their London team, offering you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping HR strategy across Europe. What you'll do:

  • Partner with designated business areas to align HR practices with strategic business initiatives by attending business strategy and planning meetings, ensuring that all HR activities support organisational goals.
  • Design and lead strategic HR initiatives that drive business results in accordance with the Medium-Term Business Plan, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the region.
  • Provide commercial, proactive, and responsive HR services by identifying new opportunities for HR to add value while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Diagnose business issues, strategies, and goals effectively to ensure alignment with the People Strategy and foster a high-performance culture throughout the organisation.
  • Develop strong relationships with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and HR peers both regionally and globally, acting as Lead or Subject Matter Expert on allocated CoE partnerships to represent the Advisory team’s perspective.
  • Work alongside managers within business areas to implement career development plans that enable employees to reach their full potential within their function and across the Group.
  • Support line management in forecasting and planning talent requirements in line with business strategy, ensuring workforce needs are met efficiently.
  • Oversee the Compensation Review process by collaborating with Reward, Regulation & Benefits Teams as well as business managers to ensure equal pay considerations and market norms are upheld.
  • Manage complex queries related to compensation surveys, expatriation issues, flexible benefits, tax matters, and annual reviews by liaising with relevant specialist teams.
  • Ensure performance management policies are implemented consistently across client groups while leading projects within the HR department or wider business as part of global strategy execution.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role within Financial Services is essential for understanding the complexities of this sector.
  • Experience supporting a global matrix structure organisation is preferred as it demonstrates your ability to navigate cross-border challenges.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification is required for foundational knowledge in human resources or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills are vital for building rapport with stakeholders at all levels across diverse regions.
