DP World are currently recruiting for an HR Assistant to join our UK HR team on a 3-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator or HR Assistant who is looking for a fast-paced, hands-on role where they can make an immediate impact. Working closely with the HR Business Partner and wider HR team, you will provide essential HR administration and support across the site, helping to ensure key people processes are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role would suit someone who is proactive, highly organised, and able to hit the ground running.

How you will contribute

  • Provide professional HR administration support across the site, ensuring processes and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage new starter, employee change, and leaver processes, working closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance to ensure all requirements are completed on time.
  • Support line managers with new starter inductions and coordinate group inductions with the QEHS team where required.
  • Act as a point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers, providing practical support and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in line with GDPR and company requirements.
  • Maintain absence data, reporting trackers, and HR systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support the HR team with absence management, including coordinating return-to-work meetings, arranging sickness absence meetings, managing letters, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with basic contractual changes and provide administrative support for employee relations activities, including meeting coordination and minute taking.
  • Produce regular HR reports and management information, providing accurate employee data to support business decision-making.
  • Support the HR Business Partner with ad hoc queries, projects, and general HR activities across the site.
  • Help produce site communications and newsletters to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Support employee engagement and CSR activities across the site.
  • Ensure all HR processes are completed in line with company policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation.
  • Contribute to wider HR priorities and projects as required, taking ownership of tasks and delivering within tight deadlines.

What you will bring

  • Previous experience in an HR administration or HR Assistant role is essential.
  • Experience working with HR databases/HRIS and producing HR reports and management information.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to hit the ground running, quickly understand processes, and deliver projects and tasks within short timeframes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and responding positively to changing business demands.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
  • A practical, proactive, and hands-on approach, with a willingness to get involved and see tasks through to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Ability to manage confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards this is desirable.
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
