As we continue to successfully move through our integration we are looking for a proactive and people centred HR Advisor to join our team. As the successful applicant you’ll provide HR advice to colleagues, lead on various projects and be an expert in employee relations.

Bristol based with the option of some homeworking and occasional travel to our Slough office for which we are able to provide EV (car) to make the journey more comfortable.

This opportunity is initially offered as an 12Mth Fixed Term Contract with a salary range £42,000-52,000 plus benefits.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Confidently advising and leading on complex employee relations cases including performance improvement processes, disciplinary, grievance, absence and consultations regarding business changes.

  • Coaching managers on dealing with a variety of difficult scenarios including conducting training and support sessions on specific HR topics and processes

  • Keeping our HR policies smart, compliant and easy to use.

  • Measuring employee engagement and working with managers to identify solutions.

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding – helping us to attract and retain top talent

  • Be a key member of the HR Team supporting colleagues as needed

  • Working closely with management teams and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid HR experience, ideally in an advisory role

  • A proven record of managing complex ER cases especially consultation processes regarding business change

  • A strong knowledge of employment legislation, an understanding of upcoming changes and how they may impact the business.

  • Highly organised and able to manage and work towards deadlines

  • Able to interpret and use HR data and metrics to inform decisions

  • Strong IT skills including use of complex HR systems and Excel, an understanding of Workday would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Ability to act calmly when under pressure, tactful, determined, quick thinking but methodical and consistent.

  • Ideally you’ll be have CIPD level 5 or above but it’s not essential.
