IEC LV Motors Division is looking for a seasoned Sales Management professional driving commercial success through aligned strategy, disciplined execution, and strong commercial governance. This dual role owns sales performance for Europe and the Americas, while acting as Primus inter Pares at division level—leading global strategic programs and driving cohesion across markets. Are you ready to shape sales strategy and drive growth on a global scale? Location 

This position is open globally with preferred locations as follows: Finland, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, United Kingdom, BENELUX, Spain, India, or China.  

 

Work model: Hybrid. #LI-hybrid  

Key Responsibilities 

Head of Sales – Europe & Americas 

  • Define and execute regional sales strategies to grow ABB's market share, revenue, and profitability across Europe and the Americas 

  • Set regional sales targets, track performance, and drive corrective actions when needed 

  • Lead Regional Sales Managers in EU and Americas; own business performance (LSUs) including order intake, revenue, and margin 

  • Collaborate with Hub Manager and Sales Controller to deliver financial targets 

  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability building within the regional sales organization 

  • Optimize regional sales channels and partner with the Sales Enablement Team to improve processes, tools, and productivity 

Global Head of Strategic Sales 

  • Develop and communicate a global sales strategy aligned with divisional, business line, and regional goals 

  • Represent sales in the global division management team and Business Area Sales council; act as voice of the customer in strategic and leadership discussions 

  • Lead global market intelligence, competitive analysis, and strategic decision-making 

  • Define and execute a global key account strategy with a focus on C-level engagement, growth, and retention 

  • Establish global direction for channel partner models, go-to-market approaches, and pricing governance 

  • Oversee global sales risk management, ensuring alignment in mitigation strategies 

  • Drive leadership development and capability building globally, with a focus on AI and sales enablement disciplines 

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive sales culture with a growth mindset across all regions 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing environments 

  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, market share, and profitability with P&L accountability 

  • Strong experience in key account management, commercial governance, and C-level engagement 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, cross-regional sales teams 

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset 

Preferred 

  • Background in electrical equipment, motors, or industrial automation 

  • Familiarity with AI tools, CRM platforms, and digital sales enablement 

  • Experience managing global channel partner networks and go-to-market strategies
