Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.

We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.

Fuse's global supply chain spans distributed residential installations, utility-scale generation EPC and manufacturing of our in-house designed hardware. As Head of Procurement you'll build and lead the function that turns all of that third-party spend into a competitive advantage: the right suppliers, the best terms, tight governance and a relentless focus on landed cost. You'll lead a team of category-owning Procurement Managers and own the procurement strategy end to end.

Responsibilities
  • Own the procurement function and strategy across all categories: installations, EPC (utility-scale generation) and hardware manufacturing
  • Lead and develop the complete procurement team
  • Own global supplier strategy and the supplier base: selection, segmentation, performance and relationship management
  • Set commercial terms and governance: contract standards, approval workflows, spend controls and procurement policy
  • Deliver cost-out targets and value across the group's third-party spend
  • Partner cross-functionally with installs, development/EPC, hardware/product and finance to align procurement with the build-out roadmap

Requirements
  • Significant procurement, strategic sourcing or supply-chain leadership experience, ideally spanning more than one of: capital projects/EPC, manufactured hardware, field operations
  • A track record of building supplier bases and delivering material cost savings at pace
  • Strong commercial and contract negotiation instincts, with the judgement to balance cost, speed and risk
  • Comfortable building a function from a relatively early base: process, team and systems
  • First-principles operator who can go from category strategy down to the detail of a single PO
  • Energy, renewables, construction or hardware-supply-chain background a strong advantage

Benefits
  • Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
  • Biannual bonus scheme
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs
  • Private health insurance
  • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

As we hire globally, benefits may vary by location.
