To make everyone’s day brighter — our Globallers, our audiences, our partners, and our communities. Whether we’re in the studio, building world-class technology, or securing record Outdoor advertising partnerships, we make sure we’re doing it as a team.

Your Role: Head of People, Commercial and Outdoor

As the Head of People for Commercial and Outdoor, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to define and deliver their people plans in line with Global’s Growth Strategy and Strategic Priorities. This is a senior generalist role covering the full employee lifecycle – from organisation design and talent to engagement and culture – ensuring a seamless people experience across all Commercial and Outdoor teams.

As a Head of People, Commercial and Outdoor at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic partnering (30%): Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping people plans that support business priorities, organisation design, culture and performance across Commercial and Outdoor.

  • People operations & change (40%): Use data-led insights to guide people decisions, oversee effective hiring and onboarding, lead change management programmes, and partner with Talent, Operations and TA on development, succession and talent attraction.

  • Leadership, coaching & engagement (30%): Coach and develop a team of People Partners, support leaders on complex employee relations, and drive engagement with Global’s culture, wellbeing and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

What You’ll Love About This Role

  • Think Big: Shape the people strategy for two of Global’s most high-profile business areas, influencing performance, capability and organisation design.

  • Own It: Lead end-to-end people initiatives, from strategic workforce planning through to delivery of change programmes and key people projects.

  • Keep it Simple: Use insight and experience to streamline processes, reduce complexity and make it easier for leaders and teams to do their best work.

  • Better Together: Build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders, your People & Culture colleagues and teams across Global to deliver meaningful change.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in Commercial and Outdoor, with a clear view of their priorities and challenges.

  • Identified where you can drive the most value across people priorities such as organisation design, talent, culture and engagement.

  • Developed a strong understanding of Global’s position management architecture, job family structures and People & Culture ways of working.

  • Begun to use data and insight to inform people decisions and shape short- and long-term plans.

  • Established yourself as a visible, proactive and solutions-focused leader within the People & Culture team.

What You’ll Need

  • Deep strategic people experience: Proven senior HR / Head of People background with strength in organisation design, employee relations, culture, succession planning and strategic thinking, with the ability to coach and influence real change.

  • Commercial curiosity: A strong understanding of how businesses grow and perform, with a track record of bringing an ROI-led, commercially aware approach to people strategies.

  • Delivery excellence: Known for implementing at pace, simplifying complexity and driving continuous improvement while ensuring people plans land effectively.

  • People leadership: Experience leading and developing high-performing HR / People teams, building respected relationships, motivating others and challenging thinking where needed.

  • Communication skills: A clear, credible and mature communication style, comfortable engaging and challenging stakeholders at all levels.

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset: Strong problem-solving and analytical capability, with experience using HR metrics and insight to identify root causes and shape both short- and long-term plans.

  • Coaching and Development: Nurturing talent by empowering and guiding individuals to unlock their potential

  • Building Trust: Creating and maintaining an inclusive environment where diverse views and experiences are welcomed and celebrated in your team
