Role Overview:
As the Head of Partnerships and Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating CitySwift’s growth by identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships, while mapping opportunities for market expansion and acquisition. You will lead efforts to strengthen our ecosystem through go-to-market partnerships, product integrations, and acquisition scouting. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer this cross-functional role will work closely with Finance, Product, and Leadership teams to drive revenue growth, market positioning, and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Mapping & Strategy Development
    • Conduct comprehensive market mapping of the technology ecosystem in the bus and transit industry across relevant segments.
    • Identify key players, trends, and competitive dynamics in areas such as scheduling,  operations, fleet management, network planning, data analytics, and passenger solutions.
    • Build and maintain a strategic industry map to inform CitySwift’s partnership, growth, and acquisition priorities.
  2. Strategic Partnerships
    • Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships to accelerate revenue growth and product adoption.
    • Develop both go-to-market partnerships to expand customer reach and technical integration partnerships to enhance CitySwift’s product offering.
    • Collaborate with internal Product and Tech teams to align partnership strategies with the product roadmap.
  3. Competition and Industry Scouting
    • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities that align with CitySwift’s growth objectives and market positioning.
    • Develop a structured process to assess and prioritize M&A opportunities.
    • Work closely with Finance and Leadership teams to build business cases for potential acquisitions.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Act as a strategic advisor to the CCO and leadership team, providing insights on market opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
    • Collaborate with Finance to evaluate financial feasibility and ROI of partnership and acquisition opportunities.
    • Partner with Product teams to align technical integrations with product strategy and customer needs.
  5. Performance Measurement & Reporting
    • Define KPIs and success metrics for partnerships, integrations, and acquisition targets.
    • Regularly report progress to leadership, ensuring transparency on partnership pipeline, strategic initiatives, and key milestones.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, strategy, or business development roles within enterprise SaaS, transportation tech, or adjacent industries.
  • Proven experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships, including go-to-market and integration initiatives.
  • Prior experience in market analysis, mapping industry players, and evaluating acquisition opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business opportunities, build business cases, and recommend strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Background in enterprise technology, transportation tech, or mobility solutions is highly desirable.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic experience preferred.
