Hello! We're Teya.

Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.

At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.

We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.

We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.

We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.

Become a part of our story.

We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.

Your Mission

We are seeking a Head of FP&A and Investor Relations to lead Teya’s financial planning, performance management, and external communications with investors. This individual will be a key partner to the CFO, CEO, and leadership team, shaping our financial strategy while ensuring disciplined capital allocation and transparent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Lead the FP&A function, driving forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning across all business lines.

  • Build and maintain a rigorous performance management framework — including unit economics, cohort management, and growth analytics — that directly links business performance to strategy.

  • Ensure cost discipline and accountability across teams, with clear visibility on efficiency metrics.

Investor Relations:

  • Develop and manage investor communication strategies, including quarterly reporting, board materials, and investor updates.

  • Articulate Teya’s strategy and financial performance in a compelling, credible, and transparent manner.

  • Benchmark against peers (e.g., Nubank, Revolut, Progressive Insurance) and incorporate best practices in reporting.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, instilling analytical rigor, business partnership, and cost discipline.

  • Drive alignment across Finance, Strategy, Product, and Operations.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years leading an FP&A function in a high-growth financial services, fintech, or technology company.

  • Expertise: Strong background in financial modeling, cohort analysis, capital allocation, and cost management.

  • Investor Mindset: Track record of managing investor relations or board communications with clarity and credibility.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to build and inspire a team, and to work cross-functionally in dynamic, high-growth environments.

  • Transformation-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to drive business transformation in Finance, with a strong bias toward AI adoption, automation, and digital tools to enhance forecasting, reporting, and efficiency.

  • Discipline: Relentless focus on efficiency and cost discipline, while enabling long-term growth.

Why Join Teya

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of banking for small businesses across Europe.

  • Work closely with top leadership in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Lead a function at the intersection of strategy, finance, and external engagement.

The Perks

  • We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team

  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with Wellhub giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps

  • Our company offers extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices, giving employees more flexibility and support

  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme

  • Health and Life Insurance

  • Pension Scheme

  • 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays)

  • Office snacks every day

  • Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London

Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.
