About Geomiq

Geomiq is a fast-growing digital manufacturing company transforming how businesses source custom-manufactured components.

We combine technology with a global manufacturing network to deliver industry leading service levels for manufactured goods.

We have operations across the UK, China, India and Portugal, and we're entering an exciting phase of growth.

We're looking for a commercially minded Head of Finance to take full ownership of our finance function, strengthen financial reporting and help shape our next stage of development.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine ownership and direct exposure to the CEO and leadership team.

You'll lead an existing finance team of two, take responsibility for financial performance and controls for future growth.

We're looking for someone who goes beyond producing accurate accounts — someone who uses financial information to improve decisions, challenge assumptions and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Own monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and group consolidation.

  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, budgets and forecasts.

  • Maintain robust financial controls, reconciliations and accounting policies.

  • Oversee statutory compliance, audits and relationships with external advisers.

Commercial Finance & Strategy

  • Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team on financial decisions.

  • Analyse profitability, margins, working capital and cash conversion.

  • Evaluate hiring plans, investments and growth opportunities through financial modelling.

  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities and areas to improve financial performance.

Auditing & Financial Due Diligence

  • Prepare and maintain financial information for audits.

  • Coordinate financial information requests from investors and advisers.

International Finance

  • Oversee financial reporting and governance across our UK, China, India and Portugal operations.

  • Work with local teams and advisers to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

  • Establish consistent financial reporting and controls across the group.

Systems, Automation & Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop our existing finance team.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual financial processes and improve efficiency.

  • Work with our technology team to improve reporting, systems integration and data quality.

  • Champion the responsible use of AI and automation within finance.

  • Build scalable financial processes that support continued business growth.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Significant experience as a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar.

  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and cash flow management skills.

  • Commercial mindset, with the confidence to challenge senior leadership.

  • Experience managing a finance team and improving financial processes.

  • Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of the finance function.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting investment rounds, auditing or financial due diligence.

  • International group reporting and consolidation experience.

  • Background in high growth businesses.

  • Experience with financial systems, automation and data-driven reporting.

  • Experience working directly with CEOs, boards or investors.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 days: Take ownership of financial reporting, establish strong controls, improve cash flow visibility and identify opportunities to strengthen finance operations.

Within six months: Deliver accurate, timely and commercially useful reporting, establish robust due diligence readiness and become a trusted financial partner to the CEO and leadership team.

Why Join Geomiq?
  • Ownership: Lead the finance function with real autonomy and responsibility.

  • Impact: Work directly with the CEO on decisions that shape the business.

  • Growth: Join an ambitious international company with significant growth opportunities.

  • Technology: Help build an efficient, automated and scalable finance function.

  • Progression: Opportunity to develop towards Finance Director as the company grows.

We're looking for someone who combines the financial discipline of an excellent Financial Controller with the commercial judgement and ambition of a future Finance Director.
