Role Summary

Lead the end user computing team which is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our organization's end-user technologies and services. As the Head of End User Computing, you will be in charge of driving the strategy, engineering, and operations for various technologies, including Unified Communications, Directory Services, Desktop Engineering, Messaging and Collaboration, Remote Desktop Technologies, Desktop Support, and Mobile Phone and End User Device Asset Management.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop the operating plan and associated budget for the end user computing engineering operations and cascade the goals and metrics to the team
  • Oversee the development of the technical architecture & design for the entire desktop estate
  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of desktop technologies in a distributed environment
  • Ensure that software distribution, patch management and other service issues are resolved as per the SLAs and timelines
  • Oversee the management and performance of the company’s unified communications and collaboration services; ensure availability, reliability, and security of the service
  • Monitor the delivery of core contact centre & unified communications projects and their lifecycle management to ensure that it is as per the plans; managing deviations as required
  • Ensure that incidents and service request with regard to desktop, messaging and communication services is resolved as per the SLAs
  • Ensure that the built / configuration of the desktop is completed as per the business requirements
  • Oversee the design and implementation of core identity and access management services to enable seamless authentication for end users
  • Ensure high performance levels for service-related processes, and implementing improvement as required
  • Infuse a sense of ownership & pride amongst team members to deliver high quality work outputs
  • Institute a self-directed and high-performance culture in the team
  • Build a strong talent pipeline through hiring, internal movements, succession planning, talent reviews etc.
  • Enable a culture of continuous improvement and learning, by coaching team members and role-modelling self-development

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

Essential

  • Any technical graduation preferably in computer science
  • Certification in Microsoft IT products and services portfolio
  • Significant experience working with the IT Infrastructure management / IT operations team in an enterprise or SaaS product organization
