We are actively recruiting for an experienced salesperson or trader to lead our EMEA Institutional Sales & Trading business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of revenue generation combined with well-established institutional relationships across EMEA. We are seeking an individual with extensive experience distributing secondary market credit products across investment grade, high yield, emerging market and special situations credit markets.  There will also be an opportunity to support and execute banking transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Mesirow's EMEA Institutional Sales & Trading business from London.
  • Develop and grow relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurers, banks and other institutional investors across EMEA.
  • Distribute secondary market bonds and credit products to institutional investors.
  • Generate revenues across investment grade, high yield, emerging market and special situations credit markets.
  • Work closely with trading colleagues to source liquidity and execute transactions across global credit markets.
  • Develop and communicate actionable trade ideas, relative value opportunities and market intelligence to institutional clients.
  • Identify opportunities arising from liability management exercises, restructurings, M&A-related flows, rating events and broader market dislocations.
  • Expand Mesirow's institutional client franchise across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Support the continued growth of the firm's global Institutional Sales & Trading platform.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years' experience within institutional fixed income sales and trading.
  • Background in banking is preferred.
  • Established relationships across asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurers, banks and other institutional investors throughout EMEA.
  • Demonstrated track record distributing secondary market credit products to institutional investors.
  • Proven ability to generate and grow revenues across investment grade, high yield, emerging market and special situations credit markets.
  • Experience covering institutional investors across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Ability to develop and expand a business within an established global platform.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
