Department Overview

You'll be joining us at an exciting time for the Digital Marketing and E-commerce team for Sky, focused on growing our Digital route to market, creating value through digital innovation, managing c£2.5bn eCommerce business in UK and Ireland. You will collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups within Sky and our partners to drive understanding and transformation of digital performance at Sky.

Objective

To build a coherent narrative of Digital Performance across all products and align with stakeholders across functional areas. To collaborate and lead across Digital, Commercial, Trading and Data team in order to drive data literacy and digital performance culture.

What you’ll do

  • Own the trading forums for the Digital Marketing and Ecommerce team ensuring the digital trading team represent digital performance at the appropriate forums, presenting the digital performance story and plans to grow sales, attachment, revenue and retention.
  • Work with commercial and trading teams to understand drivers of KPIs across Demand , Conversion , Attachment etc. across products
  • Chair Digital Trading meetings; ensuring all enquiries ladder up to coherent narrative for the Executive Trading meeting. The HoD of Digital Trading holds the relevant teams impacting digital performance accountable for the progress they are making towards our quarterly, annual and LRP goals.
  • Planning, including analysing current course and speed as well as doing the work, thinking and planning towards our go faster ideas and opportunities
  • Working with the whole of Digital Marketing and ecommerce and our vertical partners to layout our quarterly plans. Collaborating closely with digital marketing to determine the spend and strategy to meet the targets as well as identifying all the key levers in the quarter required to deliver performance.

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience managing digital and ecommerce KPIs, reporting and insight to drive digital growth and ecommerce funnel performance.
  • A deep understanding of telecoms or subscription customer lifecycle and growth related KPIs.
  • Already operating as an experienced Head of Department; excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent storytelling with data; seasoned at simplifying performance insight, boiling it down to the key performance driving trends; ability to inspire action based on data insight.
  • Leadership skills – proven track record managing a team of ambitious individuals as well as peers to work together to achieve shared KPIs. 
  • Already experienced in operating effectively in a matrix organisation and managing complex deliveries to tight deadlines.
  • Experienced at translating and presenting complex data & insight to both internal and external colleagues at all levels 
  • Strong analytical background, with good knowledge of data exploration and presentation techniques, including ability to articulate complex digital concepts with non-technical functions.
  • Understanding of digital marketing performance, ecommerce engagement and conversion measurement.
  • A dynamic leader motivated to develop a high performing team culture within the team.
