The Head of Data Commercialisation will define and sell ASG's data products, build commercial partnerships, and create sustainable revenue models from data assets.
The summary above was generated by AI

Alto Software Group powers over half of all UK residential property transactions and supports more than 9,000 estate agency customers.

As part of our evolution from CRM provider to transaction platform, we have recently become the data controller of a rich and highly valuable property transaction dataset.

This includes behavioural, operational and milestone data across the lifecycle of residential property transactions.

The opportunity now is to take this data to market - responsibly, compliantly and commercially.

The Role

We are hiring a commercially driven data sales specialist to build and scale a new revenue stream focused on monetising ASG’s property intelligence.

You will work within the Partnerships function to:

  • Package and commercialise ASG’s data assets
  • Identify and win external data partnerships
  • Create recurring, scalable revenue models
  • Position ASG as a trusted property intelligence platform

This is a greenfield commercial build - but with the backing of a market-leading platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define the Commercial Data Offering
  • Translate ASG’s transaction data into structured, sellable products (e.g. mover alerts, propensity datasets, enriched transaction feeds, API access)
  • Work with Data, Product and Legal teams to ensure compliant packaging
  • Help define pricing structures (subscription, API usage, per-record, revenue share)
2. Build and Close Pipeline
  • Identify target verticals (lenders, insurers, conveyancers, utilities, removals, proptech, investors)
  • Prospect and build relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Lead commercial negotiations and close enterprise-grade agreements
3. Create Repeatable Revenue
  • Develop a scalable commercial model within Partnerships
  • Build forecasting discipline and revenue tracking
  • Feed market insight back into product and data roadmap

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

  • Defined and launched ASG’s external data product suite
  • Secured 3–5 commercial data partnerships
  • Established a new recurring data revenue line
  • Built a repeatable enterprise sales motion

Ideal Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5–10+ years selling data products, analytics platforms, APIs or insight solutions
  • Experience closing enterprise deals (£100k+ ACV preferred)
  • Built or scaled a data revenue stream before
  • Strong commercial instincts and structured negotiation capability

Highly desirable:

  • Experience in UK property, fintech, insuretech, lending or marketplace ecosystems
  • Familiarity with GDPR and regulated data environments

Skills & Attributes

  • Highly commercial and outcome-focused
  • Comfortable building from zero
  • Strong storytelling capability - able to translate complex data into clear commercial value
  • Analytical mindset
  • Credible with C-suite stakeholders

Benefits
  • 25 days annual leave + extra days for years of service
  • Day off for volunteering & Digital detox day
  • Festive Closure - business closed for period between Christmas and New Year
  • Cycle to work and electric car schemes
  • Free Calm App membership
  • Enhanced Parental leave
  • Fertility Treatment Financial Support
  • Group Income Protection and private medical insurance
  • Gym on-site in London
  • 7.5% pension contribution by the company
  • Discretionary annual bonus up to 10% of base salary
  • Talent referral bonus up to £5K

We want to make Alto more welcoming, fair and representative every day. We’ll consider everyone who applies for this role in the same way, regardless of your ethnicity, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, physical disability, neurodiversity status, family or parental status, or how long you’ve spent unemployed.
